To address these issues, we are excited to introduce two feature updates for the Machine Companion App: Share Location and Latest Position and History Tracking. These updates enhance fleet management by offering detailed insights into machine activities, helping to streamline daily operations and improve decision-making.
Share Location
Key Benefits:
- Effortlessly coordinate logistics: Share machine locations with non-authenticated users to streamline logistics, enhance security measures, and manage fleet operations more effectively.
- Flexible location sharing: Choose between sharing static snapshots or live updates, catering to different operational needs and scenarios.
- Detailed machine identification: Include crucial machine details such as model, pin, and serial number in shared links, ensuring accurate identification and smoother logistics processes.
The Share Location feature update for the Machine Companion App allows users to easily share static and live machine locations with external users, significantly improving logistics coordination and fleet management. Users can share locations by copying coordinates or addresses or by providing a temporary link that displays the location on a map. This feature is particularly useful for scenarios like arranging logistics pickups and deliveries, as it includes key identifiers like model, pin, and serial number for precise machine identification.
Latest Position and History Tracking

- Comprehensive tracking: Access both the latest position and detailed movement history of your machines, providing a complete overview of recent activities.
- Customizable time frames: Easily select from predefined time ranges to view machine activity, enhancing flexibility in monitoring and reporting.
- Enhanced decision-making: Leverage detailed location data to optimize machine deployment, improve operational efficiency, and make informed decisions based on historical trends.
This powerful addition to the Machine Companion App enables users to track not only the current location but also the complete movement history of their machines directly on the map interface. By offering pre-configured time ranges such as the last 24 or 48 hours or the past 7 or 30 days, this feature provides comprehensive insights into machine activities, allowing for better operational decisions and efficient monitoring.
